Sooners get back in the game, win two over Rutgers.

Coming off three tough losses against Arizona State and Arizona, the Sooners coaches made a few changes. Goaltender Louis Libin got his first starts of the season against Rutgers on Wednesday & Thursday night. Oklahoma came away with the two win sweep, 7-3 on Wed., 6-3 on Thur.


Only two Sooners had to put points on the board Wednesday night for the win. Bryce Johnson would get the Hat trick plus 1,scoring in every period, and Darrell Boldon netted two in the third. Oklahoma stayed out of the penalty box this time, only serving 4 infractions & held off Rutgers from scoring. Libin faced 19 shots in the game, Rutgers’ Dan Burgert took on 40 OU shots.


Thursday night game was Jordan Greenberg’s time to tally the points. Greenberg had two goals; Mason Miller (PP), Cory Ramsey, Andrew Dadds and Bryce Johnson also scored a goal in the win. OU again kept the penalties to the minimum, going 1-2 on the penalty kill. Libin had 24 shots on goal this time, Burgert 38.

Bryce Johnson leads the Sooners in points with 9 goals and 9 assists. Greenberg is close behind with 8 goals and 8 assists.

Oklahoma is back in action on November 1st and 2nd when they host Texas A&M (DII)
